Marquis is looking for a Millwright for our Scarborough book manufacturing site.

Job type: Full time, permanent

Shift: 3-11 pm

Shift premium: $1.00 per hour for Afternoon Shift
Hourly wage: $30.00/hour

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
⦁ Hoist and move equipment; position pieces that need to be assembled;
⦁ Move, assemble, and install machinery and equipment such as shafting, precision bearings, gear boxes, motors, mechanical clutches, conveyors, and tram rails, using hoists, pulleys, dollies, rollers, and trucks;
⦁ Respond to machine downtime and work quickly and effectively to restore operations;
⦁ Perform general labour duties including, pipefitting, carpentry, and welding tasks;
⦁ Be Involved in routine tasks such as lubrication of machinery, bearing/seal replacement, cleaning of parts during an overhaul and preventative maintenance;
⦁ Assist and coordinate with preventative and corrective maintenance by repairing, providing technical support and replacing parts;
⦁ Order general Plant supplies (lighting and plumbing supplies, sanitary supplies, cleaning supplies, machine consumables, parts, and small tools and hardware);
⦁ Provide general Plant Maintenance assistance (lighting, plumbing, broken windows, snow removal and salting of walkways, moving of furniture and office partitions, etc.);
⦁ Preserve a healthy and safe working environment by adhering to Health and Safety policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:
⦁ Millwright apprenticeship completed or in progress;
⦁ 2+ years of millwright experience;
⦁ Secondary/High School Diploma or equivalent;
⦁ Forklift /Scissor lift experience an asset; occasional working at heights may be required;
⦁ Trade license would be a strong asset (e.g. millwright and/or industrial electrician).
